Cloud Deployments 2.0 Improvements
Based on user feedback, SQD introduced two significant changes:
Slots (replacing version numbers)
Previously, simple numerical versioning (1, 2, 3) didn’t effectively communicate deployment differences or improvements. The new Slots system assigns unique identifiers to each deployment, improving visibility into running processes, enabled features, and responsible parties. This particularly benefits distributed teams with asynchronous workflows.
Tags
Optional labeling system allowing teams to categorize deployments by purpose (such as “testing” or “production”) or feature sets, enhancing workflow management and endpoint organization.
Backward Compatibility
All changes maintain backward compatibility — existing deployments require no modifications.
