Overview
Subsquid functions as a decentralized data access layer that unlocks granular, permissionless data access at a petabyte scale. The platform’s Web3 mission parallels Google’s Web2 role by making vast datasets queryable and accessible.
The Subsquid Modular Stack
The architecture includes:
- A decentralized data lake storing blockchain data
- A decentralized query engine
- Developer tools for building applications
Worker nodes process queries and retrieve data, earning SQD token rewards. Delegators provide crucial oversight by identifying and supporting reliable nodes.
What is a Delegator?
A delegator stakes SQD tokens to specific worker nodes, serving three functions:
- Signaling Reliability — indicating trust in node performance
- Incentivizing Performance — encouraging uptime and efficiency
- Economic Participation — contributing to network security and infrastructure
How to Become a Delegator
Step 1: Buy SQD
SQD trades on Bybit, KuCoin, Gate.io, MEXC, CoinList, and CoinEX. The token operates on Arbitrum, requiring an Arbitrum wallet and ETH for transaction fees.
Step 2: Delegate SQD
- Ensure SQD tokens are in your wallet
- Access the Dashboard for worker node options
- Select a delegator and confirm via wallet signature
- Monitor progress in the Delegations section
Step 3: Claim Rewards
- Navigate to Assets in the Subsquid Network App
- Click the green Claim button
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
