Overview
Following a successful Phase 1, Subsquid is launching Phase 2 of its testnet beginning January 15th, 2024. This article outlines six key updates participants need to know.
Key Changes
Network Migration
The testnet has moved from the deprecated Arbitrum Goerli to Arbitrum Sepolia. Existing participant tokens were automatically migrated, with the tSQD token visible on Arbiscan.
Token Rebalancing
All token reward amounts have been reduced by a factor of 10, meaning Phase 1 participants should expect a 1-to-10 conversion rate for their testnet tokens.
Upcoming Features
Token delegation functionality for network workers was introduced as a coming feature, with delegation quests launching after worker nodes were fully integrated.
Technical Requirements
Participants need Arbitrum SepoliaETH for transaction fees. The guidance suggests using public faucets like Sepolia Faucet, then bridging to Arbitrum Sepolia via the Arbitrum Bridge.
Node Operators
Existing node operators received direct communication through a dedicated Telegram group regarding migration procedures.
Fraud Prevention
The team identified and removed users attempting to exploit the system through multiple account linkages using identical social credentials.
